Overview
Each year RSM hold a Dinner Dance for all staff across WA to celebrate the year it follows on from the Regional Staff training sessions held at Crown. RSM Australia wanted to create a memorable event. The brief was simple: create an engaging, celebratory experience that encouraged connection, fun and relaxation.
With this brief in mind, Encore transformed the ballroom into an immersive jungle-inspired destination for the Into the Wild dinner dance. The result was a vibrant, high-energy event that provided the perfect conclusion to a successful year.
Objective
RSM Australia wanted to create a memorable finale that encouraged staff to relax, reconnect and celebrate together. Beyond creating a standout social event, the evening also had a more personal purpose to celebrate staff achievements for 25-year service and retirement after 41 years of service
The brief was to create a unique experience worthy of the occasion while keeping the event under wraps until the moment guests arrived.
The Challenge
Unlike a traditional Dinner Dance, the Into the Wild event wasn’t designed solely around awards, presentations or extensive formalities. Instead, the challenge was to create an experience that relied on atmosphere, entertainment and immersive theming to bring people together and end the year on a high.
The client wanted guests to walk into a completely transformed environment that felt exciting, unexpected and just a little bit wild.
Result
Encore collaborated closely with the client team to bring the Into the Wild concept to life. The ballroom was transformed with lush foliage, dramatic hanging installations, themed bars, oversized animal props and striking jungle-inspired centrepieces that immediately transported guests into another world.
Audio played a critical role in creating energy throughout the evening. A live band performed across key moments of the event, maintaining momentum between dining, socialising and dancing. Thoughtfully managed audio production ensured a seamless flow throughout the night, allowing guests to focus on enjoying the experience.
Together, the styling, entertainment and production elements created a vibrant environment that felt far removed from the office environment
A key decision was fully embracing the Into the Wild theme through every aspect of the room transformation. Immersive styling created an immediate wow factor, delivering a strong first impression and setting the tone for the evening from the moment guests entered the space.
