Encore has been appointed as the in-house event production partner for the new Crowne Plaza Maroochydore, strengthening its growing venue network in Queensland.
Currently under construction in the heart of Maroochydore’s Ocean Street precinct, the $150 million hotel is scheduled to open in 2028. It will feature 180 guest rooms and more than 900 square metres of premium meeting and event space, including a 600sqm ballroom, making it one of the Sunshine Coast’s most significant new conference venues.
Conferences and events are central to the vision for the hotel, which has been designed to meet growing demand for high-quality business event facilities on the Sunshine Coast.
Encore secured the five-year partnership following a competitive pitch process. Its proposal demonstrated how bringing creative, production and technical expertise together could elevate the hotel’s event offering and help clients create more engaging and memorable experiences.

The partnership will give event organisers access to Encore’s wider creative and production expertise from the earliest stages of planning, helping turn ideas into experiences designed for the venue, its spaces and its audiences.
Beyond its conference facilities, Crowne Plaza Maroochydore will feature a 30-metre swimming pool and spa, gym and sauna, an all-day restaurant, 160-seat signature dining venue, outdoor pool bar and lounge, and lobby bar. Together, these spaces will allow the hotel to host everything from conferences and meetings to weddings, activations and destination events.
The partnership also strengthens Encore’s relationship with IHG Hotels & Resorts in the region.
As the Sunshine Coast continues to grow as a business and leisure destination, Crowne Plaza Maroochydore will add significant new event capacity to the region.
