Overview
The CCF SA Earth Awards celebrate excellence across South Australia’s civil construction industry. For 2026, CCF SA wanted an experience that matched the significance of the achievements being recognised while creating valuable opportunities for the industry to connect. The event also marked an important milestone for Amora Adelaide as the first major event delivered at the hotel following its rebrand and renovation. Encore brought the occasion to life through flexible event technology, tailored production and a guest journey designed around recognition and connection.
Objective
The goal was to create a polished awards experience that elevated every recognition moment, strengthened industry relationships and kept guests engaged throughout the evening. The event also needed to showcase the possibilities of Amora Adelaide’s newly transformed ballroom without shifting focus from the people and projects being celebrated.
The challenge
CCF SA needed to balance formal awards, dining and genuine networking for a large audience. Every guest required a clear connection to the stage and on-screen content, while the overall environment needed to feel professional, welcoming and distinctly aligned to the CCF SA brand.
Solutions and approach
Three track-mounted 5.5 metre by 3 metre LED screens formed the visual centrepiece of the awards space. Positioned together across Ballrooms B and C, they delivered strong sightlines and scale, ensuring presentations and award moments remained visible across the room.
Encore shaped the atmosphere through warm amber lighting, CCF SA blue perimeter lighting, moving-light effects and customised audio stings. The integrated treatment gave each award presentation greater energy and created a cohesive, contemporary setting.
Guest experience
A 12-metre red carpet and branded media wall set the tone on arrival. Guests then moved into the Civil Contractors Cocktail Lounge, featuring themed cocktails, relaxed furniture, ambient fairy lights, trees and live quartet entertainment. The lounge supported networking before, during and after the formal programme, while the awards space maintained focus for dining and recognition.
Creating a dedicated lounge separated social connection from the formal presentation without fragmenting the event. Combining the three LED screens in the awards area maximised visibility and visual impact. Brand-led lighting and bespoke award stings then gave recipients a stronger moment on stage, turning functional production choices into a more memorable celebration.
Outcomes
The 2026 Earth Awards brought South Australia’s civil construction community together in an experience that balanced recognition, networking and celebration. It also provided a compelling first major showcase of Amora Adelaide’s rebranded and renovated event environment.
