Fijian Drua and Encore Extend Partnership, On-Kit Presence for Drua Women Announce Encore as Naming Partner

Encore has been announced as a new naming partner of the Fijian Drua Women’s team, marking a significant step forward in the growth and visibility of women’s rugby in Fiji.

The multi-year partnership builds on an established relationship between Encore and the Drua, with Encore already supporting both the men’s and women’s teams as their event technology partner. This next chapter extends that collaboration beyond match day, creating a broader platform across sport and community.

For the Fijian Drua, the partnership is an important milestone in the continued evolution of its women’s programme.

Fijian Drua Chief Executive Officer Jeff Miller said the agreement reflects a clear alignment between the two organisations.

“This partnership is an important moment for our women’s programme. Encore has already played a key role behind the scenes, and we’re proud to build on that through a partnership that supports the growth and visibility of our team,” he said.

“Importantly, this goes beyond sponsorship. It strengthens the connection between elite sport and our communities.”

The partnership also underscores a shared commitment to Fiji as a market, with both organisations focused on supporting local talent and elevating the profile of women’s sport on a regional and global stage.

Tim Keeling, Encore General Manager for New Zealand, Asia and the Pacific, said the move felt like a natural progression.

“Fiji is an incredibly important market for Encore, and the Drua play a powerful role in representing the country globally,” he said.

“We’re proud to extend our partnership in a way that supports the continued growth of the women’s team.”

The announcement was made during the Asia-Pacific Hotel Industry Conference and Exhibition (AHICE) Fiji, bringing together industry leaders and partners to mark the next phase of the relationship.

As the Fijian Drua Women’s team continues to build momentum, the partnership with Encore positions both organisations to play a strong role in shaping the future of women’s sport in the Pacific.
