Overview
Encore was invited to deliver an unforgettable experience for Pan Pacific Orchard’s VIP hosted buyer event in Singapore. The hotel, celebrated as “One of the World’s most Beautiful Hotels” and the winner of “Best Tall Building Worldwide”, sought to showcase its venue as the ultimate destination for conferences and events, aiming to impress industry leaders and prospective clients with its versatility and luxury.
The Brief
Pan Pacific Orchard’s goal was clear: create an immersive, high-impact event that would highlight the venue’s unique spaces and celebrate its prestigious awards. The brief called for a premium, celebratory atmosphere, with organic touches to evoke a sense of wonder and relaxation. The hotel’s team gave Encore creative freedom, trusting us to design a concept that would be on-brand and truly memorable.
The Encore Experience
Immersive Arrival
Guests were welcomed into the Mosella restaurant, the main event space, via a dramatic entryway enhanced by warm, golden uplighting and dynamic LED strip lights. The use of contemporary LED tubes along the walkway and foyer created a visually striking path, setting the tone for the evening and immediately immersing guests in the venue’s luxurious ambience.
Creative Lighting & Projection
Encore’s technical expertise shone through with custom gobo projections. A starry night motif greeted guests in the foyer, while a spiral gobo design added texture and movement to the main event space. These lighting effects, combined with movable LED walls and pixel totems, transformed blank canvases into vibrant, engaging environments. Projection mapping above the open kitchen featured the Pan Pacific Orchard logo and award titles, looping subtly to reinforce the hotel’s achievements without overwhelming the space.
Premium Touches & Organic Elements
The concept incorporated organic motifs, with whimsical hummingbirds to reflect the hotel’s decorative themes. The use of foliage and florals, handled by the hotel’s florist, complemented Encore’s lighting design, creating a harmonious blend of nature and technology. The circular stage, chosen for aesthetics and 360 degree audience aspect, allowed every guest a clear view, fostering a sense of connection and holistic experience.
Multimedia Innovation
Encore’s approach to multimedia was both clever and flexible. Pixel totems were programmed to rotate individually, mimicking the effect of airport flip boards and allowing for tailored content on each panel. This smart design maximised the impact of digital displays and demonstrated the venue’s capacity for creative event solutions.
The Result
The “Eden After Dark” event was attended by 200 VIP delegates from the events industry. Pan Pacific Orchard’s spaces were showcased in their best light; with every detail, from lighting to content, curated to inspire and engage. The hotel’s team was delighted, and the event served as a successful showcase of both the venue’s potential and Encore’s ability to create immersive, memorable experiences.
